I read the book “Customers for Life” by Carl Sewell as part of my training for the job in telecom at Excel Communications that I took in the Spring of 1996 after I left graduate school. That led me to go to their Lexus dealership and trade in my Explorer on a 1994 Lexus ES300, white over gold/taupe with tan leather interior. That was such a great car and I absolutely loved it. If I remember correctly, it was under a certified pre-owned warranty so every repair (and there weren’t many) was covered. I ended up having to sell it when the telecom industry went south and I left my job. This car started my love affair with Lexus and with the Sewell experience. I’ve bought four more cars from them since then…all good cars.
